Well, finally it worked

With the collective input from my fellow colleagues I managed to put my image up, but not without a few failed attempts (four in fact). Everything is only done in snatched time. I also realised my first problem was that I hadn't logged into Flickr, as I hadn't noticed the sign in bit which was in tiny print.

Is it only my age but is everything in small print these days, and so much easier to miss if you are trying to do things quickly? I feel a bit like the elderly client I helped last night who was having problems trying to read the website I had found for her even when I had the magnification level at 200%...it was like looking at myself in 20 years time.

I am enjoying doing the blog and it is lovely bouncing ideas and reasons why things aren't working off colleagues. I am trying to now catch up and may even post a video next time.

Is this going to work?

This is the lovely picture of the "other" Mitchell Library I was going to post. Mitchell Library, Glasgow opened in 1877 and is named after Stephen Mitchell, a wealthy tobacco manufacturer (ring a bell?) and is one of Europe's largest public libraries

Hey, can anyone tell me how I ..

can go back in and fix up a typo in my previous post? It is going to bug me until I do.
thanks

Images, images

Suddenly we are in week 3 and this is the first time I have had a chance to write anything this week. I had a look at flickr and typed in "mitchell library night" and was very taken with some "new" images of what I thought was our Mitchell Library and then realised it was the slightly older one in Glasgow. If I can work out how today I'll try and post one, if not next week. I love looking at other people's photos and also looked at the place we went camping at Easter and recognised photos of a large and very noisy group of people camped just near us. I was half expecting to see us in the background. Ran out of time...next week

first question I ask myself...

This is very exciting. I had a couple of things happen over the summer that made me feel very old, creaky and behind the times. I met up with a childhood friend and his wife up the coast who I hadn't seen for over 30 years. If you are like me ,when you meet people the exact same age it is very difficult not to surreptiously compare things like wrinkles, weight gain, grey hairs and technological prowess just to see how you are travelling. The wife proceeded to tell me over a glass of wine all about her blog, myspace entry etc while I just nodded pretending I was au fait with it all. The second thing was tracking down another old school friend who is now living in the states and in our first email him asking me to tell him about my favourite blogs and wikis!
So here's to jumping in and blogging.
